CBD Medical Uses
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is derived from a cannabinoid chemical which has been extracted from marijuana plants. Unlike another cannabinoid, (THC), CBD is not psychoactive, and cannot create feelings of euphoria, a “high,” or intoxication. Research suggests that CBD oils produce pain relieving effects, reduce anxiety, and offer numerous other health and medical benefits.
CBD and ECS
The human body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), which regulates its sleep cycles, immune system, mood, memory, fertility, and responses to stimuli such as pain, has three core components. It has receptors, enzymes, and endocannabinoid which are produced by the body. Recent clinical trials have shown that CBD is able to react with ECS receptors in the brain to reduce seizures in patients with epilepsy. The American Epilepsy Society is conducting further tests to allow future approval of CBD all types seizure affections.
CBD has displayed an ability to restore brain receptors and enzymes, and repair brain and nerve damage from neurodegenerative disorders like MS, Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease. Working together CBD and ECS can reduce inflammation, relieve anxiety, lower heart rates, and restore the body to a balanced Homeostatis, keeping all internal processes functioning well.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), has studied CBD’S ability to prevent cancer cell growth, reduce symptom discomfort, and lessen the side effects of chemotherapy. CBD has proven to reduce the affected cell’s ability to reproduce, halting tumor growth.
Years of clinical trials, and human studies must be conducted to validate these interactions. However, scientists are already celebrating the medicinal benefits which CBD has demonstrated thus far.
